Utilizing Image Processing and Artificial Intelligence for Automated Visual Inspection

Automated Visual Inspection (AVI) systems are widely used in manufacturing and quality control to detect defects or ensure product consistency. However, there are several challenges associated with implementing and optimizing these systems, such as complexity of defects; diverse product types; data management and processing; environmental conditions; algorithms and model performance; cost and scalability.

The integration of AI with image processing techniques is revolutionizing automated visual inspection due to several key advantages:

  • - Significant reduction in manual intervention
  • - Enhanced scalability and maintainability
  • - Lowering of overall operational costs

This hands-on workshop will walk you through the complete workflow from labeling and data preparation, image preprocessing, segmentation, feature extraction, and AI modeling.

Who should attend:

Scientists, engineers, domain specialists, and managers who need to do product quality testing, develop inspection algorithms, explore automation strategies, and optimize inspection speed.
