24 Aug-FPGA Design_ Prototyping-Webinar2021-2

Overview

Do you know that you can prototype your algorithms on FPGA-based hardware, regardless of how much FPGA design experience you have?

With MATLAB® and Simulink®, you can:

  • Build a hardware-ready design using proven IP blocks and subsystems

  • Simulate system-level hardware behavior to eliminate bugs before deploying to the FPGA

  • Generate HDL and C code that can target any FPGA or SoC device

  • Automatically deploy to Xilinx® and Intel® FPGA and SoC boards and kits

  • Probe and capture signals running in hardware

Highlights:

In this webinar, you will learn about the workflow for implementing a MATLAB algorithm on an FPGA using HDL Coder and Simulink. The demonstration will include:

  • Defining a MATLAB pulse detection algorithm commonly used in digital communications and radar applications
  • Implementing a streaming, fixed-point architecture in Simulink
  • Simulink modeling best practices for creating efficient hardware
  • Generating and synthesizing HDL for an FPGA device like XILINX ZCU104 or Zedboard

You will also learn about real-time FPGA prototyping and debugging solutions in HDL Coder and HDL Verifier.

Speaker

Dr Marta Patricia Tjoa, Trainer and Senior Training Consultant

Dr Marta Patricia Tjoa is the Trainer and Senior Training Consultant at TechSource Systems. She has conducted numerous basic and advanced courses in MATLAB and Simulink to the industries in ASEAN countries which include Dyson, Infineon, ST Engineering, Power Seraya Ltd, Government of Singapore Investment Corporation Pte Ltd, as well as academic institutions. She has helped engineers, data scientists, and financial professionals, with little or no programming background to jumpstart MATLAB and Simulink in the shortest time. She helped them in data modeling, data science analysis, system dynamic modeling, optimization and machine learning applications as well as deep learning for image processing application. She has also delivered courses to implement Digital Signal Processing and Image Processing applications on XILINX Field Programmable Gated Arrays and/or XILINX Zynq SoCs using SIMULINK.
