Detecting Human Presence Detection with Wireless Sensing
Detecting human presence is a large part of automation. Applications can vary from simply switching lights to detecting intruders. However, these require a lot of additional sensors with the associated hassle of wiring and more.
But what if you can use existing devices? Here, we use information gleaned from the Channel State Information (CSI) packets in Wi-Fi signals, together with Artificial Intelligence, to create a model that is able to accurately detect the presence of people inside a room!

Real Time, Vibration Analysis and Condition Monitoring
Demonstrates kinetic mesh networks and wireless sensing in condition monitoring.
Energy Systems & Electrification Track
Controller Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Testing for DAB Converters
Show how to model and simulate a grid-tied converter with an aggregated synchronous machine grid model, run it on a Simulink®-Programmable FPGA to capture high-frequency switching dynamics, set up a hardware-in-the-loop test system for grid-forming and grid-following controls on the embedded controller, and use an integrated workflow from control design to real-time testing and verification.
Dual-Motor PMSM Control with TI C2000 Processors
Show how to use Texas Instruments C2000 processors for field-oriented control (FOC) to control two three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) coupled in a dyno setup.
Vehicle Electrification with Model-Based Design
Discover how NXP’s Model-Based Design Toolbox (MBDT) seamlessly integrates with MATLAB and Simulink to accelerate the design of motor control and vehicle electrification applications. This demo highlights workflows from modeling and simulation to automatic code generation and deployment on NXP microcontrollers, enabling faster prototyping and reducing time-to-market for electric mobility solutions.

Wireless & Connectivity Track
Urban Link and Coverage Analysis Using Ray Tracing
Typical channel modelling techniques are not suitable for higher-frequency coverage analysis in urban settings as each individual building has significant effect on the propagation channel.
Using map and building data from Open Street Map and prebuilt or custom antenna models, coverage analysis can be performed using raytracing techniques. Additionally, beamforming can be used to optimize the non-line-of-sight link.
DVB-S2 Receiver on AMD RFSoC
Radio hardware is expensive. Radio hardware for satellites is even more expensive. And typically, algorithm development starts even before the hardware is ready for testing!
Using SoC Blockset and Satellite Communications Toolbox, we are able to quickly model a hardware implementation of a DVB-S2 receive algorithm in Simulink, and validate it on pre-defined models of an AMD SoC, and also deploy it to the hardware without writing a single line of C or HDL code.
Integrated Wireless Prototyping and Data Acquisition Workflows in MATLAB and Simulink
Highlights how MATLAB and Simulink serve as a unified environment for modeling, simulation, and real-time data acquisition across diverse hardware platforms. It features workflows using USRP for wireless communication prototyping and DAQ devices for mixed-signal data acquisition, enabling rapid development and testing of real-world systems.
