[Dr Marcelo H. ANG Jr]
Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering National University of Singapore

Dr. Ang, an Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering at the National University of Singapore, is a robotics pioneer. He introduced the first programmable robotic system for ship welding and contributed to autonomous driving with the Singapore MIT Alliance for Research and Technology. He's actively involved in professional associations and committees. Dr. Ang founded the Singapore Robotics Games, advises the World Robot Olympiad, and received a 2018 Merit Award from Enterprise Singapore for his quality and standards contributions.

[Dr Chong Shin Horng]
Senior Scientist Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC)

Dr Chong is a Senior Scientist at the Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC). With a distinguished Doctor of Engineering degree from Tokyo Institute of Technology, she specializes in robotics, including the development of robotic arms for EV battery maintenance. Dr. Chong's research interests encompass precision motion control, control theory, rehabilitation assistive equipment, and biomedical engineering, contributing significantly to technology and healthcare advancement.

[Li Xiaocong]
Research Scientist Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech)

Dr Li Xiaocong is a Research Scientist with SIMTech. He received his BEng degree and his PhD degree from the National University of Singapore. After completing his Ph.D. under the A*STAR Graduate Scholarship (AGS), he joined SIMTech’s Mechatronics Group. He currently leads a research project on data-driven iterative tuning for commercial high-speed controller. His research interests include data-driven intelligent control and learning control with application to industrial robotics and precision machines. 

[Ritesh Tekriwal]
Principal Engineer ION Mobility

Ritesh Tekriwal, a Principal Engineer at Ion Mobility since June 2021, leads projects and innovates solutions for electric two-wheelers.

Previously at Ather Energy, he developed smart scooter features, sensor fusion algorithms, and test data automation. Ritesh also designed a Data Logging System and contributed to features like auto-indicator cancellation.

Technical Software Manager VinFast

Ian Alferez is a seasoned Technical Software Manager at VinFast, where he brings his extensive expertise to lead and drive innovation in automotive software solutions. With a passion for cutting-edge technology and a proven track record of delivering top-notch software solutions, Ian plays a pivotal role in advancing VinFast's mission to shape the future of the automotive industry. His dedication to excellence and commitment to pushing the boundaries of software engineering make him an invaluable asset to the VinFast team.

[Alex Lo]
Group CEO TechSource Systems & Ascendas Systems Group

With his passion in software engineering, Mr Alex Lo founded TechSource Systems in 1996, a company for distributing high-end computing software for research institutes, multinational corporations and universities in South East Asia and is the group CEO.  

He also founded i-Math Pte Ltd, which distributes high-end didactics and complex analysis software tools. He also serves in his personal capacity at charitable and non-profit organizations.

[Zach Goh]
Regional Technical Manager TechSource Systems

Zach is a roboticist with over a decade of experience in factory automation across industries in Asia Pacific, working with both manipulators and mobile robots.  His dream is to enable robots enter the home, construction site, kitchen and other places with unstructured environments.  Hence, he hopes to inspire aspiring engineers to solve tough engineering problems through cross-fertilization of ideas across multiple disciplines.   Zach is an alumnus of NUS via his Bachelor’s in Computing and graduated with a Master's in Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.  

[Ian Phillip Lowe]
Application Engineer TechSource Systems

Ian completed his studies in the EPD Robotics Track at SUTD and subsequently transitioned into the role of Research Officer at SUTD, where he effectively managed and concluded research projects related to robotics development within ROAR Labs. Currently, Ian is employed at TechSource Systems, where he collaborates with clients from diverse industries, applying Mathworks products to address a wide range of applications.

Dr Zhang Lanyue
Research Fellow Singapore Institute of Technology
Dr. Lanyue Zhang is a Research Fellow at the Singapore Institute of Technology since October 2023. Her speciality lies in two areas: Physics-Informed Neural Network (PINN) models for heat transfer applications; and Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) and Particle Tracking Velocimetry (PTV) for dispersions. Previously, she was a PostDoc at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Germany, researching poly-disperse particle systems and thermal mixing characteristics. She holds a PhD in Thermal Process Engineering from Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg, focusing on particle motion in rotating drums.
Dr Md. Samar Ahmad
Scientist, Electrification, Smart Remanufacturing System Group Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre, A*STAR
Dr. Md Samar Ahmad is an accomplished professional with a Bachelor's and Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Currently serving as Scientist-1 within the Electrification team at the Smart Remanufacturing System (SRS) Group, housed within the Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC) under A*STAR, he brings a wealth of expertise and insight to his role.
 
Before joining A*STAR, Dr. Ahmad held the position of Research Scientist at the Rolls-Royce Corporate Laboratory at NTU, Singapore. His research spans a wide range of areas, including Battery Energy Storage Systems, Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers, Micro Grid Operations, Power System Optimization, and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) Technology, among others.
 
Wesley Poh
AI Application Engineer Infineon Technologies

Wesley Poh is an AI Application Engineer with the Automotive Division at Infineon Technologies, Singapore. He specialises in the research and development of AI-centric algorithms for implementation in automotive battery management systems. His research interests include data-driven methodologies for battery prognostics and the design of self-powered dynamic systems.

Wesley received the B.Eng. (Hons) degree in electrical power engineering from the Singapore Institute of Technology in 2017, and the M.Phil. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Newcastle University in 2020. He is currently working towards the Ph.D. degree in electrical and electronic engineering with Nanyang Technological University.

Dr Sivaneasan
Associate Professor, Singapore Institute of Technology
Dr. Sivaneasan received his B.Eng. and Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. He has held positions at NTU, Nanyang Polytechnic, and currently serves as an Associate Professor at Singapore Institute of Technology. His research focuses on power engineering, specifically microgrids and smart grid technologies.

He has published over 40 technical papers and co-authored two book chapters on V2G and EV charging. Dr. Sivaneasan has received multiple awards, including “Best Innovation in Renewable Energy” and Best Paper at ICPEA 2022. He actively collaborates with industry partners and has secured over SGD 11 million in research funding.
Xue Chunhua
Product Development Engineer Advanced Micro Devices

Xue Chunhua is an accomplished communication engineer with a Master's degree from the Technical University of Munich and a Bachelor's degree in Material Science and Engineering from Xidian University. With over 8 years at Xilinx/AMD, he has a wealth of experience in FPGA and SoC design, specializing in RTL IP design and memory interfaces. He has made significant contributions at leading tech firms including Black Magic Design, Rohde & Schwarz, and Infineon. His expertise spans across HDMI technologies, VoIP, and advanced security protocols like TLS 1.3 Offload Engine, establishing him as a thought leader in the industry.

Samaksh Sinha
Head of Marketing, ASEAN MathWorks
Mr. Samaksh is presently at the helm of Industry Marketing for the ASEAN region at MathWorks, boasting a remarkable career spanning over 15 years in the realms of technology and semiconductor development.
 
Before joining MathWorks, he held pivotal leadership and operational positions in renowned companies such as ST Micro, Freescale Semiconductors, and Infineon Technologies.
Peeyush Pankaj
Principal Application Engineer MathWorks India

Peeyush holds a Master's degree in Advanced Mechanical Engineering from the University of Sussex. Prior to joining MathWorks, Peeyush worked as a Senior Data Scientist on the Rotordynamics and Mechanical Design teams, where he used analytics and AI to investigate and identify key engine parameters determining and predicting engine modes and loads. He also worked on several prognostic health monitoring and fleet management projects to analyze airfoil distress, monitor damper health and understand core rub diagnostics. Peeyush has filed 25 patents on Advanced Jet Engine technologies and Prognostic Health Monitoring of aircraft engines.

Alex Lo

Mr. Alex Lo is a visionary entrepreneur with a fervent passion for software engineering. In 1996, he embarked on a remarkable journey by founding TechSource Systems. As the group CEO, he has led the company to specialize in the distribution of cutting-edge computing software, catering to research institutes, multinational corporations, and universities across South East Asia.
 
In addition to his pivotal role at TechSource Systems, Mr. Lo co-founded i-Math Pte Ltd, a company dedicated to the distribution of high-end didactic and complex analysis software tools.

During his tenure at OMRON Industrial Automation, Zach excelled in developing cutting-edge Industry 4.0 solutions, utilizing both hardware and software. He fostered collaborations with start-ups and academia, nurturing an ecosystem of innovation.
 
As Regional Technical Manager at TechSource Systems, Zach leads a team dedicated to maximizing MathWorks product value for customers. His engages people, from engineers to executives, so as to understand workflows, uncover challenges, and showcase how MathWorks solutions effectively address them.
Dr Marta Patricia Tjoa
Senior Training Consultant TechSource Systems
Dr. Marta Patricia Tjoa has decades of experience in expertly using MATLAB and Simulink. In roles like Technical Consultant, Application Engineer, and Training Engineer, she has empowered engineers and scientists, equipping them to harness MATLAB effectively for diverse projects.
 
Her expertise spans various specialized domains, including image processing, data science, artificial intelligence, control systems, embedded applications, and FPGA/SoC prototyping.
 
Dr. Tjoa earned her PhD from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Leveraging her extensive MATLAB proficiency, she has been instrumental in helping engineering professionals discover innovative techniques within MATLAB.

Romeo is a Senior Application Engineer with over 15 years of experience in designing and developing microprocessor-based products and systems. With a focus on applications automotive engine, EV controller system integration, and battery management systems. Romeo excels in verification and validation (V&V) using MATLAB and Simulink, essential for modeling, simulation, and testing of complex systems.

Rasyiqah Annani Mohd Rosidi
Application Engineer TechSource Systems

Rasyiqah Annani Mohd Rosidi is an Application Engineer specializing in the domains of Image Processing, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning with MATLAB. She leverages her expertise to assist diverse clients from various industries in a wide range of projects, including Real-time Object Recognition, Deep Learning and Computer Vision-based detection of manufacturing defects, data forecasting analytics, and multiple image processing endeavors.
