About the Presenters

Santosh Kumar Balivada | CEO | Centre of Excellence in Additive Manufacturing

Santosh heads the Centre of Excellence for Additive Manufacturing in the Medical Devices Sector which is established under the National Strategy for Additive Manufacturing by the Ministry of Electronics, GoI. His expertise includes Setting up large scale projects in PPP mode, Operations management, Product development converging various advanced manufacturing segments like Additive, Assembly technologies, Laser Processing, Plastic and Metal Injection Molding etc., His projects span from Setting-up India’s Largest Automated Molecular Diagnostics device Production lines, Biomaterial Characterization Labs, Additive Manufacturing Centers, etc.,. His current research areas are Surface Enhanced Raman Phenomena with Nanoparticles, Ultrafast Lasers and Implant materials. He is also ISO 13485: Certified Lead Auditor for Medical Devices QMS.

Vamshi Kumbham | Sr. Application Engineer | MathWorks

Vamshi is a senior application engineer at MathWorks India specializing in modeling, simulation, automatic code generation, and verification and validation. He works closely with customers across domains to help them adopt to MATLAB and Simulink in their Model Based Design and Model Based System Engineering workflows. He has over 11 years of industry experience in design and development of safety critical embedded applications.

He has been a part of complete lifecycle of projects pertaining to automotive. Vamshi worked for Bosch as a senior software engineer and for Hyundai Motor India Engineering as assistant manager. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electronics and communication from Sri Venkateshwara Engineering College, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.
