Engineers are developing high frequency switching power electronics and motor control systems driven by complex algorithms. To implement such algorithms, engineers are considering System on Chip (SoC) devices, which gives them the familiarity of embedded processors and additional FPGA capabilities of parallelism and deterministic behavior.
In this session you will learn how to use Simulink to deploy motor control algorithms on a Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ SoC device with minimal FPGA programming knowledge. Using a field-oriented control (FOC) algorithm as an example, we will demonstrate automatic C and HDL code generation for the ARM Cortex and FPGA fabric on the SoC device to drive a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). The Zynq SoC and PMSM are implemented in the Trenz Electronics Motor Control Development Kit.
Please allow approximately 45 minutes to attend the presentation and Q&A session. We will be recording this webinar, so if you can't make it for the live broadcast, register and we will send you a link to watch it on-demand
