Abstract:

In this webinar, we will demonstrate a microgrid energy management system which optimizes system response based on both technical and economic constraints, in order to minimize overall cost of a hybrid energy storage / photovoltaic system. It will be shown how to integrate optimization routines into electrical system simulation.

DR. HANIM BINTI BASARUDIN

Hanim is an Application Engineer in TechSource Systems, where she gains experience in data analytics, predictive maintenance and model-based design with MATLAB and Simulink. 

Beforehand, she graduated from The University of Nottingham with an MEng in Electronic and Communications Engineering, and a PhD in Electrical Engineering. She has 10 years of experience using MATLAB throughout her studies. For her PhD research, she has specialized in the optimal sizing of standalone energy storage systems for remote areas.
