Vijayendra Kumar is the Product Manager for Wireless Products at the MathWorks, where he leads strategy, product and market development for wireless-related solutions and toolboxes. Over the past five years, he has worked closely with customers across academia, research institutions, and industry to support wireless standards development, system modeling, and testbench solutions. He actively collaborates with engineers and researchers contributing to wireless standards.

 

Prior to joining MathWorks, he was working with startups in the wireless communications and embedded systems domains, contributing to product development, system design, and customer-driven innovation across emerging wireless technologies.

Dr. Nanda Kishore Chavali

Dr. Nanda Kishore Chavali is a Development Manager in the Signal Processing and Communications Group at MathWorks, Hyderabad where he leads the wireless communications team with a focus on physical layer design for wireless standards, 5G/6G Non-Terrestrial Networks and Satellite Communications. His expertise includes modelling and Simulation of wireless communication systems, HDL code generation, and deploying on hardware platforms. Previously, he was with Uurmi Systems Pvt ltd, Hyderabad, contributing to the development of products such as WLAN, DVB-SH based satellite modem, Tactical Communication Systems and Software Defined Radio (SDR).

 

Dr. Nanda also worked at HelloSoft India Pvt Ltd (now Nordic Semiconductor) on physical layer design of VDSL modem, digital LEC, GSM/GPRS and WiMax. Dr. Nanda holds a Ph.D. in wireless communications from the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad. He has authored around 30 technical papers and holds 8 issued US patents. His research interests include wireless communications, signal detection and recovery, receiver synchronization algorithms and satellite communications. Nanda is a senior member of IEEE and currently serves as a volunteer in the IEEE Signal Processing Society, Hyderabad.

Ahmad Saad is a principal engineer at MathWorks in Munich specializing in wireless communications and signal processing. He has more than a decade of R&D experience in designing and modelling communication systems with applications in ultra-reliable industrial and vehicular connectivity. Prior to joining MathWorks, he was with the Fraunhofer Society in Munich as a research scientist and team lead. He holds a Ph.D. in communication systems, which was jointly supervised by the Fraunhofer Society and the University of Augsburg in Germany.

Passionate about MATLAB for communication systems and RF propagation, Jonathan is also a 3D modeling enthusiast who built his own 3D printer.
