Dr. Tao Pey Yuen
Deputy Director A*STAR SIMTech
Dr. Tao is the Deputy Director of SIMTech’s Smart Robotics & Automation Research Division at A*STAR, with over 20 years of expertise in robotics, control systems, and calibration. He has led award-winning automation solutions across aerospace, maritime, and construction sectors.
 
Holding a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from NUS, Dr. Tao has driven major initiatives including the SERC Industrial Robotics Program, ROS2-native platforms, and Modular Reconfigurable Mobile Robots, advancing Singapore’s robotics and advanced manufacturing innovation landscape.
Dr. Benjamin Ma
Centre Head NYP-Microsoft Centre for Applied AI Centre
Dr. Benjamin Ma, Centre Head of NYP-Microsoft C4AI and Manager of ATIC at NYP’s School of Engineering, has over 20 years’ expertise in autonomous systems, robotics, and AI. He drives technology roadmaps, research initiatives, and industry collaborations, securing over S$1.5M in research grants with projects like concrete finishing and aerial-terrestrial robots.
 
Dr. Ma has built strong industry partnerships, generating more than S$1M in revenue and advancing impactful AI-based autonomous solutions, reinforcing NYP’s leadership in robotics and AI innovation.
Dhruv Chandel
Manager Speedgoat

Dhruv Chandel supports Speedgoat’s global partners and customers in deploying real-time hardware solutions for rapid control prototyping and HIL testing. With a Ph.D. in Mechatronics Engineering and over 14 years of experience, he specializes in MATLAB, Simulink, C++, and Python across control systems, physical modeling, data science, and machine learning.

Dhruv works closely with engineering teams worldwide to accelerate the development of cutting-edge applications in electrification, autonomous systems, aerospace, and industrial automation.

Prashant Rao
Application Engineering Director MathWorks India
Prashant leads the MathWorks India Application Engineering team, driving customer adoption across various domains. With over 20 years of experience in application and hardware design engineering, he joined MathWorks Germany in 2005, supporting signal processing, communications, and HDL code generation. In 2009, he relocated to India to head the Application Engineering team.
 
Prashant holds a Master’s equivalent degree (Dipl.-Ing.) in Microelectronics from the Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg (TUHH), Germany.
Sumit Garg
Principal Application Engineer MathWorks India
Sumit Garg is the Principal Application Engineer at MathWorks India, with expertise in the design, analysis, and implementation of signal and data processing applications. He works closely with customers on advanced technologies such as radar, phased array systems, and sensor fusion.
 
With over 12 years of industry experience, he has contributed to the development of both hardware and software solutions, particularly in the radar domain, supporting real-world engineering challenges and system-level implementation.
Nishanthi Duraisamy
Automotive Industry Manager MathWorks Singapore
Nishanthi Duraisamy, Industry Manager at MathWorks Singapore, has 10+ years of experience in automotive research and industry. She specializes in automated driving, EV technologies, and fosters Model-Based Design adoption. Previously at Delphi Automotive, she developed ADAS, ACC, and hybrid vehicle controls software. At ERI@NTU, she led an autonomous bus project – an initiative by LTA Singapore.
 
Nishanthi holds a Ph.D. from NTU Singapore and a bachelor’s degree from Anna University, India.

Mr. Alex Lo is the founder and Group CEO of TechSource Systems, established in 1996 to deliver advanced computing software to research institutes, universities, and corporations across Southeast Asia. He also co-founded i-Math Pte Ltd, focused on analytical software, and serves as Managing Director of TME Systems, a provider of test, measurement, and simulation solutions.
 
Mr. Lo actively supports charitable and non-profit organizations, contributing his time, leadership, and expertise to causes he is passionate about.
Dr. Marta Patricia Tjoa
Regional Technical Manager TechSource Systems & Ascendas Systems Group

Dr. Marta Patricia Tjoa is Regional Technical Manager at TechSource Systems with decades of MATLAB and Simulink experience. Formerly a consultant and engineer, she has guided scientists and engineers across diverse projects.

 

Her expertise includes image processing, AI, data science, control systems, embedded applications, and FPGA/SoC prototyping. She empowers professionals to innovate using MATLAB and Simulink.

Douglas Chong
Senior Application Engineer TechSource Systems & Ascendas Systems Group
Douglas Chong Hong Kwan is an Application Engineer with over 10 years of experience in system automation, smart manufacturing, and application implementation. His expertise includes process and equipment automation, data analytics, and productivity solutions.
 
Douglas blends technical skill with a business-first mindset, delivering insights that help organizations leverage technology for measurable, high-impact operational improvements.
Jihan Salsabila
Application Engineer TechSource Systems & Ascendas Systems Group
Jihan is an Application Engineer specializing in HDL/FPGA design, deployment, and machine learning applications. Her expertise includes digital hardware design, IoT-driven automation, predictive maintenance, and system optimization for semiconductor production.
 
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and has prior experience as a design engineer in the semiconductor and consumer products industries.
Duong Quang Huy
Application Engineer TechSource Systems & Ascendas Systems Group
Huy is an Application Engineer with international experience in embedded systems for automotive, railway, and maritime sectors. He has worked on automated ADAS testing, embedded software design, and maritime simulation and data analysis.
 
Skilled in MATLAB/Simulink, SCADE Suite, and C programming, Huy combines strong analytical and research skills to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
Jonathan Tee
Application Engineer TechSource Systems & Ascendas Systems Group
Jonathan Tee is an Application Engineer with a Master’s in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Nottingham Malaysia. He specializes in RF and microwave technology, including phased array design and signal and power integrity challenges.
 
Passionate about MATLAB for communication systems and RF propagation, Jonathan is also a 3D modeling enthusiast who built his own 3D printer.
Gerald Cagayan
Application Engineer TechSource Systems & Ascendas Systems Group
Gerald is an AI, data science, and electro-optical engineering specialist with over five years of experience supporting Southeast Asia’s industrial sectors. He drives AI adoption in quality control, automation, and data analysis.
 
Holding a Master’s in Engineering from Taiwan, Gerald developed a nano-level lab-on-a-chip detection system, blending strong research skills with a practical, solution-focused approach.
